The Challenge:

How to make programming a robot feel naturally simple.

The RoboTrainer Project can be considered two projects in one:

 

1 ) Resurrect and provide a brain and purpose for an aged Mitsubishi MoveMaster II - A small, entry level industrial robotic manipulator.

2 ) Develop a new, intuitive method of programming the robot to achieve its new purpose.

Solution:

Develop a new controller and control system scheme for the robot.

Create a "Training Model" that will be used to program the robot through physically manipulating a 1:1 scale size model to perform a task.

For the sake of demonstration, the assigned task will be stacking blocks.
